On October 28, 2022, China Tianying's Beijing office was invited to attend a special event hosted by the United Nations system in China to celebrate the 77th United Nations Day. UN Secretary-General Guterres delivered a video message at the event, Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu and Siddharth Chatterjee, UN Resident Coordinator in China, attended the event and delivered speeches, and ambassadors from various countries and partners from academia, business and social groups participated in the event.
The event focused on the role of youth as torchbearers for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and emphasized the importance of intergenerational solidarity in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The UN system in China aims to use this celebration as an opportunity to encourage and support more young people to contribute their wisdom and strength to global governance.
