On December 7th, Nantong Science and Technology Bureau issued the Notice on the Accreditation of 2023 Nantong Municipal Research and Development Institutions. The Nantong (Tianying Gravity) Energy Storage Engineering and Technology Research Center, supported by China Tianying Inc. (CNTY), was included in the List of 2023 Municipal Enterprise Engineering and Technology Research Centers.

CNTY has unremittingly followed the development strategy driven by environmental protection and new energy businesses. Taking gravity energy storage technologies as the entry point, CNTY has made wide and intense business layout in wind and solar power generation, energy storage, green hydrogen and ammonia production, and equipment manufacturing, among others. Since the beginning of this year, its gravity energy storage technologies have been awarded a number of national and provincial honors, among which the 100MWh Gravity Energy Storage Equipment was recognized by the National Energy Administration as the First (Set) of Major Technical Equipment (Project) in the Energy Sector. The accreditation this time marks the first recognition for gravity energy storage technologies as the R&D platform. Going forward, CNTY will continue to scale up its R&D investment in gravity energy storage technologies in order to obtain accreditation of gravity energy storage R&D platforms at the provincial and even national levels.
